What is a journal?
In research
field, journal is a collection of research article on new research or
improvement from the existing one. Journal can be index by Scopus, Web of
Science or non index. Research students are encouraged to publish their article
on higher Impact Factor (IF) or Quartile from Q1 until Q4, the highest to the
lowest. Its quiet hard actually to get publish even in Q4 journal because your
work will be review by qualified reviewer that has expertise on specific area.
That’s from academic journal view.
However journaling itself is free
style writing. Journal is like a diary, you can write everything in your head
and heart however it doesn't need daily writing. It also looks like a blog but journal is more traditional, written
on any type of paper or books .It’s your own collection of life document,
without any strict guideline to follow; no one will read or judge your journal and
it’s not compulsory to write every day.
